(c) Path-breaking Public-Private
Partnership:
Trans-Damodar Coal Project
- CISC is the JV partner of West Bengal Mineral
Development & Trading Corporation Ltd., a Govt. of WB
Undertaking for Trans-Damodar Coal Mining Project
alongwith GCL & BLA Pvt. Ltd.
- JV Company will be operating a Coal Block having
reserves of around 60 million tonnes allotted to WBMDTCL
by Ministry of Coal.
- CISC as the JV Partner was involved in the whole
process of block allotment and close liaison in
obtaining required approval from different Govt. Depts.
- CISC with the JV partners would develop and operate
the mine
- The agreement is for a period of 30 yrs.
(d) Mining for Private Companies:
- Having dialogues with Monnet Ispat & Energy Ltd. and
Usha Martin Ltd. etc. for operating captive coal blocks
allotted to them.
