Calcutta Industrial Supply Corporation (CISC) was established in 1972. Its core focus area comprises of coal mining, coal handling, stone mining and road construction projects. With its track record of growth and performance, CISC boasts of a team of highly experienced professionals and one of the most sophisticated fleet of earthmoving and mining equipment with a material handling capacity of more than 17 million BCM a year.

CISC is an established player providing reliable and customized solutions to meet customer requirements using high productivity, quality and cost effectiveness as key parameters. CISC is one of the pioneers of Opencast Mining Operations, Deep Hole Blasting, and Coal Handling. The Pachami Stone Mining Project of the WBMDTCL completed in the year 2001, was considered to be a model mine and was completed in record time for Larsen and Toubro Ltd.

CISC has been a forerunner in undertaking outsourcing jobs in ECL and successfully working around political, local and technical constraints and today it has a strong national presence working with:

After attaining a greater empowerment from Ministry of Coal and Coal India Limited and in the absence of budgetary support from Government of India, the Coal Subsidiaries who had to survive on its own were quick to realize the benefits of a public-private partnership and switch over to private outsourcing mode. Such outsourcing and end-to-end coal handling solutions have now become the key business drivers in CISC.
